Hello, World! — this is Goshen network
This is the first public message from Goshen network, an universal L2 scaling solution for Ethereum based on Optimistic rollups. It’s scalable, fast, cost-efficient, secure, decentralized and also ready for other EVM-based chains.
Ethereum is in an almost permanent state of congestion due to the high transaction volumes, which results in expensive gas fees and slow transaction time. This is not a feasible solution for many blockchain applications and users. Scaling has been long-awaited to offload high transaction volumes!
Generally speaking, there are three types of L2 scaling: state channels, Plasma and rollups. Several Optimistic rollups and ZK rollups solutions have entered the market to solve the scaling challenges and gained commitment from communities resulting in fast growing TVLs.
Goshen network
We believe Optimistic rollup is the most viable scaling technology to enable mainstream adoption and have built Goshen network which is a fully Ethereum-equivalent Optimistic rollup based on a RISC-V fraud-proof system optimized for general-purpose EVM computation. It’s built on top of Ethereum, the most secure and battle-tested programmable blockchain in order to maintain decentralization and security. Goshen provides low gas fees, it’s fast and secure, and makes the lives of developers easy!
What this means for users
Goshen is a L2 construction that does not run on Ethereum’s base layer but on top of it. It feels the same as interacting with Ethereum, but transaction costs are only a fraction of what they are on L1. This is good news for users who are not interested in moving to other high-performance chains for speed and low transaction cost, but prefer to stay within the Ethereum ecosystem.
Stay tuned
We are just getting started and really excited to tell more about the project. In the meantime, check out our WP and stay tuned on socials Twitter, Discord, Blog, Web.
